The aim of this product is to “create websites as easily as you create layouts for print. You can design and publish original HTML pages to the latest web standards without writing code.”
I bet this sounds great to any designer, but would it revolutionise the way HTML developers work? Probably not.
Judging by the response so far, a lot of people frown at the HTML code Muse spits out. It’s bad – endless nested divs – exactly what you would expect from machine generated code.
Perhaps we should remember that Muse isn’t trying to revolutionise web development – its simply another tool empowering designers without any HTML skills to produce credible websites without too much fuss in an environment that s familiar.
