A touchtable is – put simply – a tablet PC of the size of a table board. These devices are mostly used for presentations – simply since they impress the participants. Admittedly, touch screens have become quite common through iPad, iPhone and their likes, but when you stand around such a huge touchtable and move around contents with your hands just as you like, zoom in and out, that has a touch of science fiction. No wonder similar devices are used in series and movies such as Star Trek, CSI: Miami and the Bond movie A Quantum of Solace.
How works a touchtable?
A multi touch screen is a special surface to enter data with your fingers and gestures. As named above, you know that from Apple’s iPhone and iPad: The touch screen recognises several touches / Berührungen at one time.
